DRUT Adoption Form

We’re excited that your considering adopting a dachshund from the Dachshund Rescue of Utah. The dachshund’s who come to us come from a wide variety of backgrounds, ages and may have special needs to take into account by their new family. There are some dachshunds who come to us as a bonded pair and must be adopted together. You can find out more about the dogs who are available at this time on our blog and social media. Thank you for your interest and for your concern for these rescued pups ready for their forever family.

This application is long, but it is of utmost importance we find the best fit for the rescued dachshunds. They have all been through a lot and we want to ensure a smooth transition for them to their new home.

NOTICE: The Dachshund Rescue of Utah (DRUT) –does not– adopt dogs to homes further than the states surrounding Utah: Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and including California (where our 501 (3)(c) is set up and our sister rescue is operated.

This will allow us to place the dog back with a DRUT foster in Utah. We do not fund raise for travel expenses, just for dog care.
